Thirsty Thursdays: A Day In The Life Of A Bartender

Alley Olivier recounts her craziest Wednesday night while bartending.

Bartending is an excellent way to expand your network to grow that net worth. I owe a few thanks and rounds of applause to the drinks I’ve poured, vibey setting of the neighborhood bar I work at, and the willingness of the owners to have the ability to network every time I step behind the dark wood bar.

Meeting writers, editors, and various contacts that have helped me land various freelance writing jobs and even kick start various extensions of, bartending is fun but also not for the faint of heart.

Managing drunk patron’s emotions – I’ve talked a few folks through break-ups, played wingman for a few thriving relationships, acted as the scapegoat for lackluster Tinder dates – is not easy and lends for plenty of “did that really happen” stories to share with my friends.

In our Thirsty Thursday series, we will feature a bartender’s craziest experience and the recipe for their favorite cocktails for you to sip on.

Enjoy one of my craziest experiences in the following pages and my staple cocktail at Therapy Wine Bar – The Buttah.
