Fall In Love with. . . Lil Mama

She turned an embarrassing situation into a positive, what's not to love?

A true artist; who displays her artistry in the midst of the meme madness.

Remember Lil Mama? The short, hazel-eyed, rapper with a dope flow? Well, if you own any account on social media, you’ve at least seen her face. The Brooklyn-bred rapper seemingly fell off but recently re-entered the spotlight after photos from a 2011 Breakfast Club Interview surfaced.

This time around, it wasn’t her bars that earned her popularity, it was her face.

Lil’ Mama captured our attention in ’07 with “Lip Gloss,” a hit that showcased her skills before falling off the grid around 2009. During the aforementioned Breakfast Club interview two years later, the rapper cried as she explained the struggles of releasing her debut album while her mother slowly died of cancer. “That right there alone is a struggle, that’s tough for anybody,”  she said as she  fought tears and struggled to maintain her cool.

Fast-forward to late 2015, screenshots of the emotional rapper years later surfaced and the memes provided endless jokes highlighting her famous wig, puffy eyes and struggling  smile.
