As millenials, we get a bad rep. We want everything quickly, we’re never satisfied, and we can’t commit. Though we are often stereotyped in this way about situationships, sometimes it can apply to job situations, too.
We do the college dance, get ambitious, and even go for a star-studded Masters to make mom and dad proud. It all sounds good until the loans come knocking and we end up at a job we don’t particularly care for. I know people think we quit all the time, but really, us millennials just know what we want. Jobs are just like relationships, the ones they say – for our age group, anyway – never seem to last. Sometimes it’s love; sometimes you gotta let go.
As a millenial who has given her current gig the best eight months of her life, I have a few suggestions on how to continue thrive when you hate your nine to five.
